| How To Become A HSSRA Referee All officials in our association are required to be registered and licensed as soccer officials by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) headquartered in Columbia, Missouri. This affiliation also provides a membership with the National Federation of High Schools and provides for liability insurance when working sanctioned high school games. To register with MSHSAA, request the High School Soccer exam test packet via their web site. They will send you a rulebook and exam. The test packet fee will complete your annual membership fee for the first year of MSHSAA affiliation. Upon receipt of the exam, read it carefully. There are no trick questions, but some answers can be ambiguous. Read ALL the choices, not just the first one that sounds good. And remember, these are National Federation High School rules, not USSF... the rules differ a bit. Upon notification from the state that you have passed the exam (MSHSAA will send your registration card and official patch for your uniform), then fill out the HSSRA Memebership Application and return to the address on the form along the with the fee. After you are licensed with the MSHSAA and registered with HSSRA, complete our daily availability form obtained from the assignors on the Board Members page, then return to the address on the form. We can now assign you to games. |
