Rules Reviews
You are required to attend
one of 2 rules review meetings conducted by MSHSAA each August and/or
one in early March for officials who registered after the August meetings
or those that only work the spring games. The correct MSHSAA meeting
dates are detailed in the 'MSHSAA Officials Handbook' contained in your
MSHSAA referee packet. Plan to attend all association and required state
meetings.

review meeting will be held:

Mechanics Clinics
The MSHSAA sponsors required
mechanics clinics for all soccer officials to attend in their first
three years of registration. These mechanics are in addition to
the rules interpretation meetings that all officials must attend
on an annual basis. These clinics include a classroom mechanics
presentation, on field officiating, and staff critique. Specific
sites and dates are publicized in the MSHSAA Journal and the Game
Officials Handbook sent to all officials in their license renewal
packets or the registration packet for new officials. Anyone registering
as a new official for 2009-10 will be required to attend clinics
in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Failure to meet these requirements in addition
to attending the annual rules interpretation meeting will place
that official on probation for the following year and require mechanics
clinics attendance in future years.
